Cambridge’s early site activation strategy at oneC1TY included re-purposing 21 shipping containers into a retail and activity “village” featuring healthy food and social sports (two sand volleyball courts were included). C1TYBLOX was installed before any permanent buildings were constructed as a way to signal what a “mindful, healthy” permanent community would ultimately look like. Over the years, tenants have included many incubator / start-up ventures, including Avo (the first raw plant-based restaurant in Nashville), Kokos Plant Based Ice Cream, Nashville Sports Leagues, SandBar, Loom Decor, Crossfit, Full Ride Cycling, Seven Cycle Kids’ Cycling, Herb Williams Art Studio, oneShop, Curry’s Floral and multiple “pop-up” events centered on mindful, healthy living.
